5. Preparation for use
|
|
The preparation for use of these devices must be performed by qualified personnel to ensure the specific suitability of the product for the user and the correct working order of all parts and accessories, as well as to provide clear instructions to the user. |
5.1. Tire Pressure Check
Periodically checking tire pressure helps maintain the efficiency of the wheelchair and provides greater comfort of use.
Check the tire pressure value against the value indicated on the tire.
|
|
In case of air transport, it is recommended to reduce tire pressure to minimize the effect of pressure variations due to altitude. |
5.2. Accessories check
Some accessories required when setting up the device may be supplied separately. You must assemble them and check their operation before you start using the device.
6. Maintenance, Inspections, and Checks
Weekly:
-
✓ Check the tire pressure. Each tire indicates the pressure for which it is designed on the sidewalls. A deflated tire compromises the smoothness of the wheelchair.
-
✓ Verify the correct tightening of the push wheel axles and, if necessary, lubricate the pins and bushings with lubricant.
-
✓ Check the tension of the backrest fabric to maintain a comfortable position.
Quarterly:
-
✓ Check the efficiency of the bearings on the push wheels, front wheel, and handlebar rotation. If necessary, proceed with the replacement of the bearings (see 6.3, “Replacing rear wheel bearings” and [replace_bearings_front]).
-
✓ Lubricate moving parts such as joints, axles, and bushings. We suggest using silicone oil as it is efficient and does not stain.
|
|
It is recommended to use only original spare parts. Contact OFFCARR in case of difficulty in finding original spare parts and accessories on the market. |

To set the turning radius on the track, it is necessary to act on the adjusters C on the reference lever B.
The two adjustments determine the turning radius while taking the turn and the straight direction on the straights.
For road racing, turns are made by acting on handlebar A, which returns to the initial position whenever the steering is released.
|
|
It is important to consider that the two steering systems are independent of each other. |
OFFCARR s.r.l. reserves the right to make improvements and/or changes on its products, at any time without prior notice, with respect of the device features, suitability, certifications, warranty contract and availability of spare parts according to the terms of law.
